Kanpur: Kanpur Mayor Pramila Pandey celebrated the Bharatiya Janata Party’s victory in the West Bengal, Assam and Puducherry assembly elections with councillors and workers at the Municipal Corporation headquarters.Pandey played the dhol while the party workers burst firecrackers and distributed sweets. Bengal’s delicacy jhalmuri was also distributed.BJP Regional President Prakash Pal expressed happiness over the results in these states and said it indicated the country’s changing political direction. He said the victory was not merely a juggling of numbers, but a powerful medium to guarantee respect and security to the country’s maternal power.
