Vadodara: The Netram command and control centre in Anand helped a woman from Daman recover a bag containing silver jewellery worth Rs 28,000 and clothes, after she accidentally left it in an autorickshaw on Sunday morning.Police said Meha Prajapati, daughter of Shailesh Prajapati and a resident of Daman, had boarded an autorickshaw from Nana Bazar in Vallabh Vidyanagar to Anand railway station at around 9.45am while travelling to Vadodara. After getting down at the station, she realised that she had left behind her bag in the vehicle.The bag contained a silver ornament worth Rs 12,000, a silver neck ornament valued at Rs 8,000, a silver ring worth Rs 3,000 and a silver bracelet worth Rs 5,000, besides clothes. The total value of the jewellery was estimated at Rs 28,000.Unable to trace the rickshaw driver, Prajapati approached the Netram command and control centre in Anand. Acting on her complaint, police personnel examined CCTV footage from multiple junctions to identify and locate the driver within a few hours.The bag and valuables were recovered and handed back to the woman under the police initiative “Tera Tujhko Arpan”. Prajapati expressed gratitude to the Anand police and the Netram team for their prompt action.
