Accused in police custody Friday Jaipur: Brahmpuri police Friday arrested two alleged shooters who opened fire inside the bar of Hotel Mount View in Jaipur’s walled city.Police said the accused have been identified as Gautam Sain alias Gattu (19) and Raees (21).“Two assailants arrived at the hotel on a motorcycle around 10 pm Thursday and opened fire using a country-made pistol. T’puram: CPM brass has refused to renew the party membership of Bineesh Kodiyeri, son of former party state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan. CPM had frozen Bineesh’s membership in 2020, following a narcotics case against him.Bineesh was a party member from 2001 to 2020. Though Bineesh had requested the membership renewal four times, it was rejected every time. Mumbai: A 24-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death with a screwdriver during a late-night dispute over a monetary issue in Sewree early on Friday, police said. One of the accused has been arrested.The deceased, Sameer Sheikh, 24, got into an argument with three acquaintances. New Delhi: Delhi govt on Friday announced a major overhaul of water and sewer infrastructure charges (IFC), shifting from the current area-based calculation system to a water demand-based model and offering concessions of up to 70% for several categories of colonies.Chief minister Rekha Gupta said the revised policy was aimed at reducing the financial burden on residents, simplifying procedures and making the system more transparent.
