Mumbai: A 24-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death with a screwdriver during a late-night dispute over a monetary issue in Sewree early on Friday, police said. One of the accused has been arrested.The deceased, Sameer Sheikh, 24, got into an argument with three acquaintances. One of the arrested accused was identified as Kisan Pandey, 22, a resident of Ganesh Murthy Nagar slum in Cuffe Parade.The incident occurred around 2:30 am near Minerva Compound, in front of a roadside tea stall. Sheikh was sitting with a group of acquaintances. An argument broke out over a debt linked to substance use. According to the police, Jasim Sayed, an accused, allegedly retrieved a screwdriver from his parked scooter and drove it into Sheikh’s neck during the heated argument. Witnesses rushed the injured Sheikh to KEM Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. A case of murder has been registered at Sewree Police Station. Sayed, along with one Rizwan Sheikh, is wanted in this case.
