Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) has imposed a 10% fuel and power purchase adjustment surcharge (FPPAS) on electricity consumers for June. This means, if a household’s average monthly bill is Rs 1,000, then in June, they will pay Rs 1,100.The surcharge, based on fuel and power purchase costs incurred in March 2026, is expected to generate around Rs 1,610.57 crore from consumers.According to a UPPCL order issued on Friday, the calculated FPPAS for March 2026 worked out to 20.61%.
