Gurgaon: Medanta Hospital has launched a 24×7 chest trauma support service after an analysis of its own patients across NCR showed chest injuries accounted for nearly 70% of poly-trauma hospital admissions and is also a leading cause of death amongst Indians aged 15-45 years. The study, which analysed 114 chest trauma patients treated between 2021-2025, found that many fatalities are linked not to delays in reaching hospitals but to the absence of specialised care during the critical early hours.
