Barinderjit.SalujaChandigarh: In a major reshuffle of trains arriving at and departing from Chandigarh railway station, the Ajmer Vande Bharat Express and Chandigarh Shatabdi Express trains will now depart from platform number 6 instead of platform number 1. This announcement was made on Monday as platform number 1 operations will be resumed from Tuesday onwards.The rail official said this decision has been taken to ease passenger rush at the Chandigarh side of the railway station. Lucknow: To improve coordination between the electricity department and the Lucknow Municipal Corporation and resolve pending issues related to development and cleanliness projects, a meeting was held on Monday, chaired by municipal commissioner Gaurav Kumar.During the discussion, it was noted that applications for increasing electricity load for certain sanitation installations were pending. Nagpur: A mock drill simulating a full emergency in case of an air crash was held at the Nagpur airport on Monday. The exercise was coordinated by Central Industrial Security Force and participated by the police, NMC firefighting dept, as well as airport operator Mihan India Limited.The situation enacted in the drill was to rescue 22 injured passengers stranded in the plane after a crash. A green channel was created along Wardha Road to carry away the injured passengers. The practice included smoothly bringing in the ambulances from the city to take away the passengers, said a source.
