While the level has risen in 463 wells, 173 others have shown depletion. According to data presented by the Union govt in the recently concluded Parliament session, a rise in underground water level was observed in 72.8% of the total 636 wells surveyed during Nov-Dec 2025. Prayagraj: Panic gripped Madhwapur and adjoining areas under the limits of Kydganj police station on Sunday after a fire broke out at a restaurant-cum-cafe shop. Two fire tenders were deployed to douse the flames.The reason behind the fire is being investigated.Chief fire officer (Prayagraj) Chandra Mohan told TOI, “No one was injured in the incident.” He added officials of the fire department are probing the incident. Kanpur: A gravel-laden dumper travelling on the Mohan-Lucknow road overturned on a roadside chaat cart, leaving two people dead and two injured, in Nevalganj village, Hasanganj, Unnao, at around 6 pm on Sunday.Three people standing near the vendor’s cart got buried under the gravel, while one got trapped under the dumper.
