CHANDIGARH: Marking World Youth Skills Day, the Naveen Jindal Foundation organised a major employment and skill assessment drive at the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule International Skill Centre in Bahlolpur, where more than 40 candidates were selected for jobs at a steel manufacturing unit in Oman, while around 250 others secured placements with domestic employers. Lucknow: The Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU) will soon establish its own medical college with an initial intake of 100 MBBS students.The announcement was made by vice-chancellor Maj Gen (Dr) Amit Devgan during the university’s second convocation on Wednesday. Nagpur: Artificial intelligence is set to play a larger role in Maharashtra’s agricultural universities, with the state govt approving Rs 2 crore for AI innovation centres at four institutions, including Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth (PDKV) in Akola.The other beneficiaries are Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani, Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri, and Dr Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth, Dapoli.
