Ahmedabad: Water-borne and vector-borne diseases continued to rise in Ahmedabad during the monsoon, with the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) reporting 345 cases of diarrhoea-vomiting, 235 cases of typhoid and 65 cases of jaundice between July 1 and July 26.According to epidemic data released by the AMC health department on Tuesday, the city also recorded 24 cases of simple malaria, two cases of falciparum malaria, 38 cases of dengue and one case of chikungunya during the 26-day period.The civic body’s surveillance also flagged concerns over drinking water quality.
