Skills & Requirements
- Full-time availability and based in New York City
- Strong interest in luxury fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and hospitality, with proven involvement in public relations, marketing, or communications
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with an eagerness to learn and ability to self-manage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid understanding of the fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and business media landscapes, from traditional print and digital outlets to broadcast, podcasts, and emerging platforms such as Substack
- Up to date on social mediatrends and emerging platforms, with broad and diverse knowledge of cultural tastemakers and the creator economy
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Google Drive
- Experience with AI tools, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.), or Squarespace is a plus
- Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a degree program in Fashion, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
- Prior internship experience in public relations, editorial, or luxury brands preferred
Responsibilities & Opportunities:
- Daily tracking, clipping and reporting of print, digital, and social media coverage
- Compiling press decks and post-event recaps
- Supporting the maintenance of editorial, VIP, and influencer databases across multiple clients
- Researching and drafting trend-analysis and market reports as well as competitor case studies
- Proposing influencers, talent, and brands to engage with for campaigns and partnerships
- Supporting the team with event execution including on-site support
- Managing client sample inventory, facilitating sample requests, and product seeding initiatives
Internships are full-time and based in New York City. For students currently enrolled in university/college, internships are unpaid and for academic credit. For recent graduates, internships are offered with a $400 weekly stipend, based on a minimum six-month commitment. Carfrae Consulting may adjust compensation in consideration of candidate experience and qualifications.
