T’puram: The valedictory function of the Episcopal silver jubilee of Cardinal Mar Baselios Cleemis Catholicos Bava, Major Archbishop of Syro-Malankara Catholic Church, will be held at Pattom St Mary’s Higher Secondary School ground on Saturday.The programme will begin at 8.30am. A solemn concelebrated Holy Mass will be led by Cardinal Cleemis. Several bishops and around 400 priests will concelebrate. Cardinal Oswald Gracias will deliver the homily. Patriarch Ignatius Yousif Younan of the Syriac Catholic Church of Antioch will be the chief guest.The public meeting at 11am will be inaugurated by chief minister V D Satheesan.Goa Archbishop Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrão, Union minister Suresh Gopi, Jacobite Syrian Christian Church Catholicos Baselios Joseph Bava, Mar Thoma Metropolitan Theodosius Mar Thoma, ministers P K Kunhalikutty and K Muraleedharan, businessman M A Yusuffali, Changanassery Archbishop Thomas Tharayil, Inter-Church Council secretary Bishop Joseph Mar Dionysius, Shashi Tharoor MP, K N Balagopal MLA, Thiruvananthapuram mayor V V Rajesh and former DGP Jacob Punnoose, the general convener of the Silver Jubilee celebrations, will address the gathering.Books will be released by Bishop Joseph Mar Barnabas, Bishop Samuel Mar Theophilos, Bishop Eugene Kuriakose and former chief secretaries John Mathai and Santhosh Mathew. Cardinal Cleemis will deliver the reply address.
