Nagpur: More than 2.19 lakh students registered so far for Maharashtra’s centralised admission process (CAP) for 2026-27 academic year, with engineering and management courses witnessing the highest response as the State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell accelerated admissions for nine major professional programmes across the state.According to data released, over 2.19 lakh students completed CAP registration for courses including BE/BTech, MBA/MMS, BEd, BPED, MPED, three-year and five-year LLB, MEd and integrated BEd-MEd programme.Highest number of registrations was recorded for BE/BTech admissions, where over 1.04 candidates already registered against 4.54 lakh students who appeared for CET in first round. MBA/MMS courses have received 18,660 registrations so far.Registration for BE/BTech and MBA/MMS admissions began on July 2 and will continue till July 12. BEd admissions are open till July 16. The registration for the five-year LLB course remains open till July 9.Among law courses, the three-year LLB programme witnessed a strong response, with 51,552 students registering against 69,473 CET candidates. The five-year LLB course has recorded 17,862 registrations so far.The CET Cell instructed students to upload passport-sized colour photographs and signature images in prescribed JPG or JPEG formats during online registration. Candidates have also been asked to scan and upload all academic and supporting documents in PDF format according to the specifications provided on the official CET Cell website.
