Nagpur: In Round 1 of Class 11 common admission process (CAP), just over 73,000 students in Vidarbha completed their admissions based on the allotment list declared last week. This takes the total students admitted in Maharashtra to over 3 lakh.Vidarbha comprises of Nagpur and Amravati divisions. In Nagpur, 38,494 students took admissions while in Amravati the figure stood 35819. For Round 1 of CAP, students have till July 7 to complete the admission formalities.Mumbai saw the highest number of admissions getting confirmed as 55,727 students completed the formalities, followed by Pune (53,348), Nashik (39,561) while Nagpur was at the fourth place with 38,495 students.In Vidarbha, there are approximately 4 lakh seats available in state board affiliated junior colleges. From this year, Maharashtra has made it mandatory for all Class 11 admissions to be done through an online CAP system.After Round 1 ends, the online forms for Round 2 are scheduled to be available online from July 10 onwards.
