Jaipur: A day after a scuffle between women constables of the Jaipur Municipal Corporation’s vigilance team and a cafe owner in Amer’s Maota area, Somiya Meena Saturday lodged an FIR against JMC at Amer police station.Meena alleged that civic officials arrived at her cafe on Friday and tried to remove items without prior notice. “A similar incident occurred in 2025 when a gas cylinder was seized. Officials later apologised in writing and returned the items,” she said.She claimed tensions had been brewing for days after she objected to officials allegedly misbehaving with a differently abled woman running a cart near Amer Fort. Meena further alleged she was detained under Section 151 and produced before the district collector before being released.Accusing officials of harassment and using force, she demanded suspension of those involved, warning of continued protest if action is not taken. “If no action will be taken by Monday, we will continue to fight for our rights and will not back down,” she said.
