Pune: A 65-year-old building contractor was found hanging from the ceiling fan at around 8 am on Thursday in his house at Gultekdi, Market Yard.He purportedly wrote two suicide notes naming five persons, including a BJP worker, the wife of a former MLA and others, the Swargate police said.Senior inspector Yashwant Nikam of Swargate police told TOI, “He pasted these notes on the wall of his house. These notes state his financial transactions and property deals with five different persons, including a builder. After studying the notes and studying the circumstances, we can confirm that it is a case of suicide”.“In these notes, he has named a BJP worker, the wife of former MLA from city, and others,” he said.The notes claimed harassment by these people, Nikam said.The Swargate police have registered an accidental death case late on Thursday night after receiving the post-mortem report. “We will register an FIR in this regard after recording statements of the deceased’s family members”, Nikam said.Later in the night, the Swargate police registered a case of abetment to suicide against 14 people, including the BJP worker, a builder, a former MLA and his wife.
