Jaisalmer: Border Security Force (BSF) Monday launched ‘Operation Alert’ , stepping up its counter-infiltration and anti-smuggling grid ahead of Independence Day .The week-long exercise is being conducted from Aug 10 to Aug 17As part of Operation Alert, additional security checkpoints have been established at vulnerable locations and patrolling intensified. . The BSF also conducted special operations in rear areas and border villages in coordination with the police. The objective is to ensure that no suspicious movement or activity goes undetected in the run-up to Aug 15.BSF personnel also conducted outreach and interaction programmes with residents of border villages, seeking greater public participation in identifying and reporting suspicious activities. Women BSF personnel participated in the exercise alongside their male counterparts, contributing to enhanced surveillance and security operations.
