Hisar: A 20-year-old BSc student suffered serious injuries after allegedly falling nearly 50 feet into a deep ravine while taking a selfie at the historic Prithviraj Chauhan Fort in Hansi on Wednesday evening.Children flying kites nearby saw her fall into the deep slope adjoining Amti Tala and alerted the Kila Bazaar police post. Home Guard member Rajesh reached her, pulled her out and rushed her to Hansi General Hospital. Doctors referred her to Hisar after initial treatment.Rajesh said around 100 people had gathered at the spot, but most did not come forward despite repeated requests. Some allegedly continued filming the injured student, while a few later helped the Home Guard team.According to police, the injured student was identified as Anjali, a resident of Sorakhi village and a second-year BSc student at Govt College, Hisar. She had reached the fort around 5pm.Anjali sustained serious injuries to her neck, arm and other parts of the body. Her bag and dupatta were found on the fort, police said.Police informed her family through the Sorakhi village sarpanch. Her relatives said she usually returned home around 5-5.30pm, but on Wednesday, they learnt that she had fallen from the fort. Police are probing the circumstances leading to the fall and why Anjali had gone there.
