Jalandhar: A scuffle broke out between two groups of youths and brickbats were hurled during Jalandhar mayor Vinit Dhir’s thanksgiving procession at Devi Talab Mandir on Sunday, triggering panic in a section of the temple complex.The procession had been organised after Dhir’s appointment as the BJP’s Jalandhar North constituency in-charge.Additional superintendent of police (North) Ashok Meena said no one was injured in the incident. “Police are obtaining and examining CCTV footage from the spot to ascertain the facts. Appropriate legal action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation and in accordance with law,” he said.
