The actor has actively promoted a sober lifestyle for quite some time. While he revealed he was drinking, he shared few reasons publicly until recently, when reports suggested that the famous ‘Château Miraval’ is central to the issue.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt bought the property back in 2012, after leasing it for almost four years. After the two filed for divorce, the property and its asset separation have been the hot topic for the past couple of years. New reports shared online by RadarOnline suggest that the wine business the couple started at Château Miraval may be one reason the beloved star is drinking again.The winery, where the couple started their award-winning business, has remained central to their legal battles, despite finalising their divorce in 2024. A statement from the report read, “Miraval has always remained incredibly important to Brad, both personally and professionally, and wine was inevitably part of that world. He wanted to be able to enjoy what the estate produces rather than feel that alcohol could never be part of his life again.”The outlet further added that having access to the alcohol in such a capacity, and how it was naturally a part of his circle, became one of the reasons behind him leaving behind his seven years of sobriety. “That contributed to his decision to see whether he could drink in a controlled way. It is a big part of his decision to return to drinking,” they added.

A couple of weeks ago, while sitting down with Esquire, Pitt shared some news about his everyday life. In a shocking statement, he revealed that after not touching a drop of alcohol in the past seven years, he has decided to start drinking again. He shared during the interview, “I was sober for seven years. And then I got back off the wagon.” He added, “I have to be professional about it,” and said he controls himself, drinks in moderation, and knows his limits.On the personal front, Pitt has been linked with fashion jewelry designer Ines De Ramon for some time now. The reports further revealed that his girlfriend has been one of the reasons why he has kept his drinking under control.As for Château Miraval, the legal battle continued between Pitt and Jolie over the stunning vineyard area, which is located in the village of Correns, which is near the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region in the south of France.
