Bokaro: The stretch from Gandhi Chowk to Bokaro Mall More turned into a bustling hub of cuisine and culture on Sunday evening as the first ‘food street’ was organised in the city.Around 70 food stalls lined the stretch, offering a wide variety of dishes from across the country. Traditional delicacies emerged as a major attraction, while stalls put up by the Mahila Samiti drew steady crowds. Aroma of freshly prepared food and the diverse flavours kept visitors engaged well into the evening.The event, organised by Bokaro Steel Plant, was inaugurated by BSL director in-charge Priya Ranjan in the presence of senior officials and residents.Rohit Kumar, a resident of Sector 4, said, “We never had something like this in Bokaro before.”Sunita Devi, who visited with her family, said, “The variety of food, especially local dishes, is impressive. It’s a great initiative by BSL.”A student, Anvi, said, “The vibe of food street is really amazing, and the food is delicious.”“The event was not just about food, but also about community bonding, as families, friends, and visitors were seen interacting and enjoying the festive atmosphere,” said Ranjan.
