Bokaro: The Bokaro Steel Plant is in the process of setting up Kritagyata Park in Sector-11 of the township to honour and showcase the history and contribution of displaced families in the establishment of the steel plant. The park is envisioned as a dedicated space where visitors from across the country and abroad can learn about the sacrifices made by local communities during the creation of the industrial township and their role in the development of Bokaro.DC Ajay Nath Jha on Wednesday informed that he had inspected the land identified for the proposed Kritagyata Park to honour the contribution of displaced families. He said, “The BSL management has been directed to develop the park in a way that reflects the history, struggle and contribution of displaced people whose land was acquired during the establishment of the steel plant. The park should be designed as a meaningful public space where visitors can understand the sacrifices made by the local communities in the development of the industrial township.”Jha has asked the authorities to have historical documentation and visual installations at the park. The proposed park is being developed in around 1.5 acres of land, BSL officials said.“Development work has already started with land levelling activity underway currently. It will be followed by other works like pathways, plantation and beautification. All efforts will be made to complete it at the earliest possible,” said Manikant Dhan, BSL’s chief of communication.
