Gumla: The body of a missing eight-year-old boy was recovered from a well at a village in Gumla on Friday. As the news reached the locals, they blocked the road expressing foul play in the death.A police team, led by officer-in-charge of Gumla Sadar police station Mahendra Karmali, rushed to the spot and persuaded them to lift the blockade, assuring them action.Pritam Gope of Kesipara village under Gumla Sadar police station limits was missing for the last three days, police said. Villagers saw the floating body in a well on Friday and informed the police.According to the family members, the kid went to attend a wedding with others in the same village on March 10 from where he went missing. A missing person’s complaint was lodged the day after.OC Karmali said, “Police are conducting a probe. It will not be possible to say for sure now before the investigation is over.”
