Ranchi: The body of a man identified as Asif Ansari (30) was recovered from the Gadigaon area under the jurisdiction of Khelgaon police station on Thursday.The body of the man and his two-wheeler were spotted by locals at around 6 am on Thursday. Later, they informed the police, who launched an investigation into the matter. Khelgaon police station in-charge Abhishek Roy said the body had a severe injury mark on its head, suggesting that someone may have killed the man.
“After locals informed us, police from Sadar and Khelgaon police stations reached the spot, which is located on the border of both police stations. Prima facie, it looked like a murder case. Forensic teams visited the spot to collect evidence. Police launched an investigation to ascertain the cause of death. However, no lead has been found yet,” Roy added.
