Dumka/ Bokaro: Bodies of two young men were found hanging from trees in Deoghar and Bokaro on Sunday morning, police said.In the first case, locals on a morning walk discovered the body of a man hanging from a tree by the roadside near Kokhara More on the fringes of Baga Pater Hill under the Jasidih police station limits in Deoghar district. The deceased was identified as Shalu Sah (25), a resident of Alhaiya village in Giridih district. He had arrived in Jasidih a few days ago to meet his relatives, police added.Officer in-charge (OC) of the Jasidih police station, Dipak Kumar, said, “The body was found hanging with a belt, which his relatives identified as a belonging of the deceased. Preliminary investigation suggests that the victim had consumed liquor with a few friends. A verbal altercation broke out among them. He stayed at the spot while his companions returned to their respective homes. Prima facie, the incident appears to be a case of suicide. But the case is being probed from all angles. His friends and family members are being questioned.”The body was sent to the Deoghar Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examination and later handed over to the family members, police added.In another incident, the body of a 25-year-old man was found hanging from a tree near Thakur Bandh pond at Ramdih More under the Harla police station area in Bokaro. The deceased was identified as Dharmdev Gupta, a native of Angwali and resident of Sector 8.DSP (City) Alok Ranjan said, “Area residents noticed the body and informed the local police. The personnel reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem examination. A bag was also recovered from the spot. Investigation into the death is under way to determine if it’s a case of suicide or foul play. The cause of death will be clear after the postmortem report.”
