A black bear in Albany, New York, climbed a tree in a residential neighbourhood and was tranquillised before falling into a net held by wildlife and law enforcement officials.
Black bears sometimes venture into neighbourhoods in the Spring in search of food. While they can be dangerous, they typically avoid human contact. In this case, the bear was in the tree for more than four hours.
The bear will be released back into the wild, officials said.
