A crucial organisational and strategic meeting of the BJP HQ was held regarding preparations for the upcoming municipal body elections. During the meeting, the municipal election in-charge and Cabinet Minister Jogaram Patel conducted a detailed review of election preparations with Members of Parliament, MLAs, public representatives, and party office-bearers.

Jaipur: BJP has begun the process of finalising candidates for the upcoming Rajasthan civic elections, with the party placing greater emphasis on local feedback, an aspirant’s standing among workers and voters, and their winnability from the respective wards.The party has assigned senior leaders to assess the political ground in different districts and prepare reports on potential candidates. Local election in-charges and organisational functionaries will gather feedback, while party observers will meet local leaders, workers and ticket aspirants before submitting their assessments.A senior BJP leader said the selection process would be based on multiple inputs, including surveys, reports from the local organisation and feedback from party in-charges and observers.“The party will consider factors such as an aspirant’s standing among workers, public support, previous election performance and the social equations of the ward before deciding on the names,” the leader said.The observers’ reports will be considered alongside survey findings and feedback from the local organisation before the state-level election selection committee takes the final call.BJP has appointed senior leaders to oversee the exercise across districts. In Bikaner, Rajendra Gehlot, Surendra Pal T.T. and K.K. Vishnoi have been assigned responsibility, while Jaipur will be overseen by Prabhu Lal Saini, Suresh Rawat and Kuldeep Dhankar.In Alwar, the team comprises Shankar Singh Rajpurohit, Jawahar Singh Bedham and Ramlal Sharma. Bhilwara will be handled by Devji Patel, Gautam Kumar Dak and Mahendra Kumawat, while Pali has C.R. Chaudhary, Jogeshwar Garg and Sumedhanand Saraswati.For Jodhpur, the party has appointed Omkar Singh Lakhawat, Joraram Kumawat and Kishore Singh. Udaipur will be overseen by Rajendra Rathore, Kailash Chaudhary and Kalulal Gurjar.The Kota team comprises Meghraj Lohiya, Kanhaiya Lal Chaudhary, Sukhbir Jaunpuria and Ranjita Koli. In Bharatpur, Ashok Parnami, Chhagan Mahur and Sanjay Sharma have been assigned responsibility, while Ajmer will be overseen by Arun Chaturvedi, Gopichand Meena and Hiralal Nagar.“The observers’ reports will help the party narrow down the list of contenders before the selection committee takes the final call,” the senior leader added.
