Jind: BJP leaders across Jind district are stepping up Tiranga Yatras ahead of Independence Day on August 15, with ministers and MLAs leading marches on bicycles, motorcycles, tractors, trolleys and other vehicles.Cabinet minister Krishan Bedi led a Tiranga Yatra in Narwana, while deputy speaker Krishan Lal Middha, Safidon MLA Ram Kumar Gautam, Uchana Kalan MLA Devender Chaturbhuj Atri and former Julana BJP candidate Captain Yogesh Bairagi have also organised marches across the district.Middha led a march from Siddhpeeth Shri Jayanti Devi Temple to Rani Talab in Jind on Tuesday. DC Dr Vaishali Sharma, ADC Pradeep Kumar, SDM Satyawan Singh Mann, district municipal commissioner Anil Doon and city magistrate Monika Rani were also present.Middha said the Tricolour was a symbol of pride, honour and patriotism and the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign was strengthening the spirit of patriotism. He said participation in the marches reflected people’s commitment to national unity and social harmony.The marches are being organised under the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign of the Centre and state govt from August 9 to 17. Participants were welcomed at several points along the routes. Middha said the participation of people from different sections reflected “mutual brotherhood, unity and national spirit”.
