Patna: The Bihar BJP core committee met at the party office on Saturday to discuss the organisation’s future action plan and preparations for the legislative council election for eight seats with focus on strengthening the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ and taking it to the booth level.CM Samrat Choudhary, BJP state president Sanjay Saraogi and national general secretary and Uttar Pradesh in-charge Vinod Tawde attended the meeting. Union minister of state for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai, Bihar ministers Vijay Kumar Sinha and Dilip Kumar Jaiswal, organisation general secretary Bhikhu Bhai Dalsania and organiser Anant Narayan Mishra were also present.Voting for the eight seats will take place on Oct 23 and counting on Oct 27. Jan Suraaj has announced candidates for all eight seats, while JD(U) has named candidates for seats from its quota in the NDA.The meeting focused on organisational preparations, coordination and mobilisation of workers for the elections, with emphasis on supporting NDA candidates. Leaders also discussed coordinated participation in forthcoming party programmes.Saraogi urged workers to take the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan to the masses and participate in its programmes with dedication. The meeting reviewed organisational activities across regions and discussed ways to increase worker participation.Senior netas stressed better coordination and communication among workers and discussed the roadmap for upcoming organisational programmes and region-wise activities. They also emphasised strengthening the organisational network to help ensure govt welfare schemes and service initiatives reach marginalised sections.
