Hyderabad: BJP legislators on Monday accused the Congress govt of deceitfully misleading the people of the state. They alleged that even after two years, the six guarantees announced with much fanfare ahead of the elections have not been implemented.MLA Payal Shankar expressed anger over the obstruction of the BJP’s ‘Chalo Assembly’ programme, which was organised to demand the implementation of promises. He alleged that BJP workers have been illegally arrested across the state since last night and said that the current Congress tenure is exhibiting more severe repression than the previous KCR administration. He warned that just as the public ousted BRS for adopting such an approach, Congress will face a similar fate in the coming days.Additionally, MLA Dhanpal Suryanarayana alleged that the govt has failed to clear the dues of govt employees and retirees, and that there is no coherence between the budget presented by the Congress govt and its expenditures. He criticised the abandonment of promises such as Rs 2,500 per month for women, tola gold, and scooters for students. He asserted that the BJP is not afraid of such arrests and accused the govt of misleading people without implementing the six guarantees. He emphasised that the party will hold the govt accountable on public issues in the assembly and that its struggle will continue until the promises are fulfilled.
