New Delhi: BITS Pilani has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Indian AI Research Organisation (IAIRO) to collaborate on artificial intelligence research, academic programmes and talent development.

The partnership will focus on joint research in emerging AI domains, applying for national and international research grants, and developing AI research infrastructure through external funding support.

Under the agreement, the two institutions will also collaborate on executive education programmes, certification courses, workshops, conferences and technical seminars aimed at building AI capabilities across academia and industry.

The collaboration includes faculty and researcher exchanges, with BITS Pilani professors mentoring IAIRO scientists and engineers, while IAIRO experts will participate in guest lectures, mentoring programmes and academic activities at the institute.

The institutions said the partnership is expected to strengthen interdisciplinary research and support the translation of AI research into practical applications aligned with national priorities.
