JAIPUR: In a move to improve work-life balance for police personnel, Sawai Madhopur SP Jyeshtha Maitreyi has introduced a policy allowing personnel leave on their own birthdays and that of immediate family members.Under the directive, casual leave applied for on the occasion of an officer’s own birthday or that of their spouse, children or parents will be mandatorily approved.Officials said the initiative is intended to address the stress and long working hours faced by police personnel, who often miss important family occasions due to duty commitments.The order applies to personnel from constables to assistant sub-inspectors, and also extends to Class IV employees in the police department.Police officials said the measure is expected to boost morale and help personnel perform their duties with greater motivation.
