Hyderabad: US-based B2B cash generation player Billtrust opened its new global capability centre (GCC) in Hyderabad on Monday, where it plans to invest ₹450 crore over three years and build a 1,000-member team focused on engineering, artificial intelligence development and operations.The new centre, spread over 40,000 sq ft with a capacity to accommodate up to 250 employees, was inaugurated by IT & industries minister D Sridhar Babu with Billtrust CEO Grant Halloran and the company’s global leadership team.

Sridhar Babu said Telangana continues to attract and nurture some of the finest technology talent in the world and Billtrust’s decision to deepen its footprint in the city is a strong endorsement of the state’s ecosystem.He urged Billtrust to leverage Hyderabad’s talent ecosystem, including T-Hub and the Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK), to access trained professionals in emerging technologies. He said Telangana would be a partner in the company’s progress and assured continued govt support.Halloran said Hyderabad offers strong technical talent, infrastructure and an industry-friendly govt which drew the company to the city.Billtrust India GCC country head Farhad H Baria said the centre, which has grown rapidly to 100 people in just six months, would be central to Billtrust’s future. Billtrust serves 2,600 B2B suppliers and 14 million buyers globally, processing more than $1 trillion in annual trade credit volume through its international cash generation platform network.
