Panaji: A tense situation unfolded in Mapusa after a man allegedly removed the clothes of a four-year-old boy a few metres away from a school. The accused was apprehended by the people and taken to the police station for questioning.The incident came to light when the teachers noticed that the student was missing from the school premises. Immediately, the parents and the teachers started searching for the boy. While the search was on, a shopkeeper informed them that the boy was seen with a person and they were proceeding towards an isolated place.Police said that people searched for the boy and the accused and brought him to the police station. Police are investigating the case.People have urged govt to deploy police around schools in the town as they fear for the safety of their children.
