Varanasi: A two-day MID AOICON 2026 conference began at IMS-BHU on Saturday, bringing together ENT specialists, surgeons, researchers and postgraduate trainees from across the country.Organised by the Department of Otorhinolaryngology in association with the Mahamana ENT Educational Trust, the event features cadaveric skull base workshops, hands-on training in vestibular assessment, AI in ENT and sialendoscopy, along with lectures, panel discussions and paper presentations.The conference aims to promote academic excellence, surgical innovation, and collaboration in the field of otorhinolaryngology. One of the major highlights of the event is the cadaveric anterior and lateral skull base demonstration workshop, offering participants practical exposure to advanced skull base anatomy and modern surgical techniques.BHU vice-chancellor Prof Ajit Kumar Chaturvedi highlighted the conference’s emphasis on innovation and public health, while IMS director Prof SN Sankhwar praised the department’s contributions during the Covid-19 pandemic.
