Bengaluru: Schools and colleges in Bengaluru Urban district where polling booths have been set up will remain closed on Oct 22-23 in view of biennial elections to the legislative council scheduled for Oct 23.In all, 43 polling booths have been set up in educational institutions across the district for the elections to Bengaluru Teachers’ constituency and Karnataka South-East Graduates’ constituency.The two-day holiday has been declared to facilitate smooth conduct of the election process, Bengaluru Urban deputy commissioner and district magistrate PS Kantharaju said in an official release.
