Bengaluru: Police launched a special drive to identify foreign nationals illegally residing in the city, with landlords told to mandatorily share details of their tenants with authorities.All police station officers and personnel are checking visa validity, passport details and registration status with Foreigners’ Regional Registration Office (FRRO).Police said inspections were carried out over the last few days through field verification and live monitoring to avoid inconvenience to the public. As part of the drive, house owners were directed to provide details of foreigners residing on their premises to jurisdictional police stations. Officials said the drive included scrutiny of foreign nationals suspected of involvement in unlawful activities.
