Bengaluru: Bengaluru North City Corporation will conduct a phone-in programme every Tuesday from 7.30 am to 9.30 am to address public grievances related to solid waste management. Residents can raise concerns regarding waste collection timings, pourakarmika services, waste disposal and waste collection arrangements in their localities.Citizens can contact the corporation by calling 080-22975936 / 080-23636671 or by sending a WhatsApp message to 9480685705.The programme will be held under the leadership of zonal joint commissioners, with the participation of the deputy general manager (DGM) for solid waste management.The corporation has also prepared block-wise micro plans for all seven of its divisions to streamline door-to-door waste collection, street cleaning and the management of bulk waste generators. The plans cover households, commercial establishments, waste collection routes, auto-tippers, markets, parks and identified garbage blackspots, with the aim of improving the efficiency of waste management services across the city.
