Pulwama, Aug 05 : Two men were injured after being attacked by a bear while working in their agricultural fields in the Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the two were working in their fields when a bear suddenly emerged from a nearby area and attacked them, leaving them injured.
He said both were initially treated at Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Tral and later referred to SKIMS Soura for specialised treatment.
The injured were identified as Abdul Majeed Bobra (60), son of Mohammad Ismail, a resident of Chattergam, Tral, and Mohammad Ramzan Beigh (58), son of Mohammad Asadullah Beigh, a resident of Tral.
Meanwhile, locals urged the Wildlife Department to take preventive measures to avoid such incidents.—(KNO)
