Hyderabad: Union minister of state (Home) Bandi Sanjay’s son, Bandi Bageerath, returned to Cherlapally jail after the completion of his five-day interim bail.Last week, a magistrate granted him five days’ interim bail after he claimed he was scheduled to take an examination for his BBA course. He returned to jail on Thursday, where he remains an undertrial prisoner. Bageerath is allegedly accused of offences under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.Based on the statement given by the survivor in May, the Cyberabad police arrested him last month. He had been in judicial remand until he secured interim bail. Several days after the case was registered, Bageerath surrendered before the police, who later arrested him. They also took him into custody after approaching the court and had questioned him to gather information about the alleged offence.
