Mysuru: Bandipur Tiger Reserve authorities raided a farmhouse near Mangala village in Gundlupet taluk of Chamarajanagar district and seized wildlife articles, arms and ammunition. A man was arrested, and two others were booked under various provisions of the Wildlife Protection Act.According to Kundakere RFO Suresh Periyar, the caretaker of the farmhouse, has been arrested. Two others have been booked under various provisions of the Wildlife Protection Act.Acting on a clue, a team of foresters raided the farmhouse at Kebbepura village Tuesday evening and seized 48 spotted deer/sambar antlers, a deer skull with an antler, two wild animal skins, 120 peafowl feathers and a weapon.Authorities also found Chinese ivory chopsticks, a deer pelt, antlers, a Nepalese Kukri, and arms, including a Swiss-made gun, a Taiwan gun, and a revolver.A rifle, 62 live bullets and seven empty bullets were also seized from the residence.The raid was carried out under the direction of Bandipur in-charge director Shubham Singh Tanwar.
