Ayodhya: A meeting of the religious committee of Ram Temple was held late Saturday evening in Ayodhya to discuss preparations for the upcoming Sawan Jhula celebrations and issues related to the ‘darshan’ of Ram Lalla.It was decided in the meeting that devotees will get more time for ‘darshan’ during Jhula celebrations, special ‘darshan’ arrangements will be made for seers.The meeting was attended by treasurer of Ram Temple Trust Govind Dev Giri, Kamal Nayan Das (representative of Trust president Nritya Gopal Das), trustees Jinendra Das, Vishwaprasanna Tirtha, Ramanand Das, and member of religious committee Mithilesh Nandini Sharan.“It was decided in the meeting that after Shringar Aarti, Ram Lalla and his three brothers will be seated on the ‘jhula’ at Ram Temple. In the afternoon, the doors of the sanctum sanctorum will remain closed for a short while at the time of ‘bhog’. After this, ‘darshan’ from ‘jhula’ will begin again,” Mithilesh Nandini Sharan said.On 15 Aug (Tritiya), a small idol of Ram Lalla will be taken to Kuber Tila for ‘Jhulanotsav’ celebrations.From Aug 15-28, there will be arrangements for special ‘Jhulanotsav’ and ‘darshan’ for 2-3 hours.“Saints wishing to have ‘darshan’ will have to give information at least a day before coming to Ayodhya. For this, the Trust and the religious committee have authorized Acharya Indradev,” he said.Sharan said the attire of Ram Lalla’s priests would be in accordance with the Ramanand tradition.“They will wear a ‘dhoti’ below and ‘achala’ above. Apart from this, there will also be the option of wearing yellow silk garments,” he added.“A special ‘bhog’ will be offered to Ram Lalla every day. This will include ‘poori’, ‘sabzi’, ‘kheer’ and ‘malpua’ along with other traditional dishes. The traditions of ‘puja’ and ‘bhog’ will continue according to the prescribed religious system,” he added.It was also decided that regular ‘darshan’ passes would be issued to Ayodhya residents and seers.
