Varanasi: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Varanasi, is conducting a public awareness campaign to ensure wide publicity for National Lok Adalat scheduled to be held on Sept 12.Rajeev Mukul Pandey, secretary of the DLSA and Civil Judge (Senior Division), Varanasi, said on Monday that awareness activities are being organised at the District Civil Court premises, tehsils and other public places to help maximum litigants benefit from the National Lok Adalat.The campaign is being conducted under the guidance of District Judge and DLSA Chairman Sanjeev Shukla and under the direction of National Lok Adalat Nodal Officer Alok Kumar. The activities are being carried out in accordance with the direction of the National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi, and UP State Legal Services Authority, Lucknow.Pandey said cases related to civil disputes, matrimonial matters, motor accident claims, bank loan recovery, labour disputes, electricity matters, revenue cases, family disputes, cheque bounce cases, pre-litigation matters and other compoundable disputes will be resolved through mutual settlement during the Lok Adalat.He said decisions passed by the Lok Adalat are final and binding. He appealed to district residents to resolve their cases and disputes through the National Lok Adalat and avail speedy, accessible and affordable justice while promoting harmony and brotherhood.
