Speaking to reporters in Tirunelveli, Appavu said the assembly session will commence on 17 February with Finance Minister Thangam Thennarasu presenting the interim budget. Ahmedabad: In a move aimed at unclogging one of the city’s most burdened dockets, the chief judicial magistrate (CJM) courts in Ahmedabad on Friday rolled out an online payment facility for cheque dishonour cases under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. Haveri: Valuable items worth about Rs 24 lakh were stolen from a moving truck on Thursday night, on the Bengaluru-Pune national highway between Haveri and Ranebennur. The looted goods included mobile phones and dry fruits belonging to a private online marketing company. The truck was owned by Mallikjaan Mulla, who was transporting the company’s goods from Bengaluru to Dharwad. Robbers broke the Linkit device installed on the truck to do away with the stolen goods. Kanpur: Jan Chaupals were organised in 10 villages across Kanpur Nagar district on Friday to address complaints received through IGRS.
