Unclaimed hoardings being removed Bhubaneswar: Ever since Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) found no claimant to almost 320 ad hoardings put up at different locations across the city, it has sold off retrieved iron frames in excess of 10,000 kg after removing those.The civic body, which has engaged a private party to remove the unclaimed hoardings, earn Rs 16 per kg by selling off the iron retrieved from the ad frames as scrap. Silchar: The bodies of a woman and her four-year-old son were fished out of Barak river on Tuesday, four days after they went missing after allegedly jumping from Annapurnaghat bridge.The bodies of Diya Akura, a resident of Chotodudhpatil in Silchar, and her son were recovered near Ganirgram in Cachar district. Gurgaon: The city’s shift to paperless land services has yet to eliminate the backlog, with 7,585 mutation cases and 1,364 paperless registration cases pending across the district’s tehsils.The scale of pendency extends beyond registrations and mutations. The digital crop survey has another sizable backlog.
