Mangaluru: Mulki police arrested a man for allegedly stealing a temple donation box at Chandramouleshwara Temple under the jurisdiction of Mulki police station and recovered Rs 2,195 allegedly stolen from the temple. Patna: The state has provided all-weather road connectivity to 1.21 lakh of its 1.29 lakh rural habitations under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) and Chief Minister Gram Sampark Yojana (CMGSY), leaving only 8,780 yet to be covered, the rural works department (RWD) said on Thursday.The original target was to connect 1.29 lakh habitations by constructing 1.34 lakh km of rural roads. “With most settlements now connected, only 8,780 remain to be covered,” an RWD communique said.The department said special focus is being given to villages that still lack all-weather road access.
