Gurgaon: A 30-year-old labourer was killed when a dispute with his contractor over Rs 500 escalated into a violent attack in Gandhi Colony, Faridabad, on Sunday night. The accused first struck the labourer, Sagar(30), on his head with a beer bottle and then attacked him in the neck with the glass shard.The injured man was taken to ESIC Hospital by his family, where he was declared dead. Waiting charge of Rs 5 is levied after 10 minutes Mangaluru: The Dakshina Kannada Regional Transport Authority (RTA) revised the autorickshaw fare in the district by increasing the minimum charge from the existing Rs 35 for the first 1.5km to Rs 40. The rate for every subsequent kilometre was increased from Rs 17 to Rs 20. Haryana minister Anil Vij Chandigarh: Haryana has 28,303 factories registered under the Factories Act, 1948. However, there has been a sharp moderation in the number of factory registrations during 2026, with 901 registrations recorded so far, compared with 1,393 in 2025.In reply to an unstarred question in the state assembly, labour minister Anil Vij presented the data.The figures supplied by the minister show that annual registrations have remained volatile over the past five years.
