Begusarai: Over 3 lakh people living in diara areas along the Ganga in Begusarai have been severely affected after floodwaters from the surging river entered their homes in recent days. The river has maintained a rising trend in the district. District magistrate Richie Pandey said the river stood at 43.51 metre at noon on Sunday, just below its highest flood level (HFL) of 43.52 metre. Nagpur: A fire broke out at a cafe in Mangalam Complex, Gokulpeth, in the early hours of Sunday, causing damage estimated at around Rs2 lakh.Personnel from the NMC’s Civil Lines fire station brought the blaze under control before it could spread further. Vadodara: Two drug peddlers accused in over 75 offences were arrested by the detection of crime branch (DCB) sleuths in the city on Saturday. Police officials said they had received information that the duo were carrying drugs for sale to some customers.
