Bengaluru: Beverages giant Coca-Cola Company sued an e-waste recycler over a GST miscalculation and won Rs 45.2 lakh.The saga began in March 2023, when Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, located in Kodigehalli Gate, entered into an agreement with Uttar Pradesh-based Hin Green E-Waste Recycling Pvt Ltd. Under the deal, the recycler took on full, exclusive responsibility for collecting, removing and disposing of e-waste from all of Coca-Cola’s offices and facilities across the country.For financial year 2022-23, invoices for this scrap-disposal service were raised charging GST at 5%. Hyderabad: The Telangana high court on Friday directed the state govt not to take any coercive action against homeowners at Doolapally in the city over allegations that their houses were constructed within the Full Tank Level (FTL) area of Fox Sagar lake. GUWAHATI: Two individuals have been apprehended for allegedly defacing public property in Guwahati, police said on Friday.According to the police, the accused painted murals of activist Sonam Wangchuk on public walls near the Jyoti Bishnu Auditorium in the Khanapara area. 82 snakes were rescued from the city in June Pune: With the onset of monsoon, snake rescue volunteers and wildlife organisations across the city have reported a sharp rise in distress calls. Snakes are increasingly entering residential complexes, construction sites, and farmlands in search of dry shelter or in pursuit of prey like rodents and frogs.Rescuers said a record number of snakes were caught in June, much higher than last year.“We caught 82 snakes last month alone.
