A murder investigation has been launched after a woman was found dead following a street altercation. Specially-trained firearms officers were sent to a property at St Vincent Road, Newport, in the early hours of Saturday. The woman, who has not yet been formally identified, was pronounced dead by paramedics a short distance away, on the city’s Chepstow Road.
